What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016 replaced the EU Data Protection Directive of 1995. This effectively superseded the laws of individual Member States that were developed in compliance with the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC.
The purpose of The General Data Protection Regulation 2016 is to protect the rights and freedoms of living persons and to ensure that personal data is processed in line with data protection principles and on a lawful basis.
This Data Protection Policy sets out Eden FM Community Radio’s commitment to protecting the rights and privacy of individuals and details how we will ensure compliance with the GDPR and Irish data protection legislation.
